This guide will help you to smooth gaming and improve more gaming exp/fps, this guide also can save some of your PC memory to give more space on your hard disk.
Step 1
Save some memory~
• Go to Start and type Run or simply click Start button+R
• Type in %temp%on Run windows, press OK
• One folder will pop-up, delete all files exist on that folder. If you get message like this i.imgur.com/M2L0sqh.png?1 , just simply click Skip and leave it, this file can't be delete because explorer.exe is running on your PC. (This wont harm any of your PC)
Next~
• Open Run
• Type in prefetch , press OK
• One folder will pop-up, just delete all files on that folder and you're done.
ALT+A to select all files for easy work, just telling
Step 2
Improve gaming experience ~
• While in game, especially for DotA in Garena. Try to close all application running, example : download, media player, mp3, software etc, sometimes this will make you disconnect from game.
• Go to Start menu and search for services and press enter.
• I suggest you to disable service name WMC Receiver Service, WMC Scheduler Service and WMC Network Sharing Service.
*Note that
WMC Network Sharing Service is the most annoying service ever because it'll always run even if you don't open WMP. It's also running almost 10k memory on your PC, try to check on task manager.
*WMC : Windows Media Center
• Always clean-up your PC *step 1* if you lazy enough to do it manually, you can download any software to help you, I suggest ccleaner, small size and easy to use but noted that any cleaner software can't delete the files on prefetch and %temp%
• Reduce resolution on your game will make it run smoothly and improve more fps. When you play DotA try to type /fps it will show your fps in DotA, more higher the rate more good
• On your DotA icon or shortcut, right click it and go to Compatibility tab. Tick on Disable desktop composition and Disable display scalling on high DPI settings. Press OK. i.imgur.com/2b9NZws.png?1
Step 3
The last thing you should do ~
• Enjoy!
